Analysis of Transparency Indicators in the Romanian Capital Market
Transparency is a fundamental pillar for the efficient functioning of any capital market. In the current economic context, the analysis of public data and reports of listed companies becomes essential for investors and for the entire financial ecosystem.
This article examines the evolution of transparency indicators for the main Romanian companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) over the past year. By studying annual reports, market communications, and corporate governance structures, we can identify trends and areas for improvement.
Methodology and Data
The analysis was based on public data available on the BVB and ASF platforms, evaluating criteria such as the timeliness of information publication, the completeness of financial and non-financial data, as well as their accessibility to the general public.
Preliminary results indicate a positive trend towards greater standardization and clarity, although significant differences between sectors remain. Companies in the energy and financial sectors tend to achieve higher scores regarding operational transparency.
The conclusion of the study emphasizes the continued importance of collective efforts to strengthen confidence in the local capital market, by promoting disclosure practices that are as clear and accessible as possible.
